Koniag Professional Services is seeking highly qualified Senior Technical Guidance Analysts (STGAs) to join our team. The STGAs will play a critical role in preparing classification guidance and policy documents in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and procedures for Restricted Data (RD), Formerly Restricted Data (FRD), National Security Information (NSI), and UCNI.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Determine the classification status of information and ensure compliance with DOE regulations.
Preparation of classification guidance and policy documents
Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and procedures
Determination of information classification status
Contribution to national security efforts and safeguards programs
Collaboration with team members and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency in classification decisions
Requirements
Education:
Master's degree in engineering or physical science from an accredited college or university
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read and understand written English at an academic grade level 15 or above
Minimum of ten (10) years of total field experience in nuclear weapons science, nuclear weapons design, nuclear nonproliferation, or nuclear intelligence/counterintelligence
Five (5) years of expertise in one of the specified areas of nuclear technology
Certification as a current Document Custodian (DC) at the time of hire
Strong background in nuclear weapons science, design, nonproliferation, or intelligence/counterintelligence
Experience in preparing classification guidance and policy documents
Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and DOE procedures
Top-Secret Clearance required.
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
