What You'll Get to Do:
You will be a vital part of a team supporting the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (USD(I&S)), Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) and the Deputy Secretary of Defense (DEPSECDEF) on intelligence, counterintelligence (CI), security, sensitive activities, and other intelligence-related matters. You will be collaborating with the Defense Agencies and Department of Defense (DoD) Field Activities. Your work will impact policy and decision-making for the I&S Executive Director and four Directors for Defense Intelligence: The Director for Defense Intelligence (Sensitive Activities & Special Programs) (DDI SA&SP), Director for Defense Intelligence (Operational Support & International Partnerships) (DDI OSIP), Director for Defense Intelligence (Counterintelligence, Law Enforcement & Security) (DDI CL&S), and Director for Defense (Programs, Resources, and Enterprise Management) (DDI PREM).
More About the Role:
As a Congressional and Public Affairs Specialist/Advisor you will:
Collect, review, assess, and demonstrate congressional information, correspondence and other documentation
Track congressional reports.
Prepare witnesses for hearings, staff reviews, GAO audits and other congressional activities
Draft legislation and legislative appeals
Analyze legislative proposals and help enacted legislation
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Seven (7) years of demonstrated experience performing technical analysis with legislative process expertise
Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Master's Degree in Political Science, or Legal Studies

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$85,800 - $180,200
