Our Health team works collaboratively to unravel the intertwined challenges of health care quality, costs, and access. Our team of experts - nurses, physicians, psychologists, economists, sociologists, data scientists, and public health experts - advance evidence and save lives by leading rigorousresearch and evaluation; results-driven technical assistance and training; and leading-edge data science and technology tools.
Our team of experts focus on promoting evidence-based care for a range of clinical conditions; engaging patient, family, and communities to identify and address inequities and barriers to health care for groups who have been historically excluded and marginalized; improving patient safety; and establishing measures for evaluating the quality of care. We also translate research evidence to promote understanding and adoption of best practices by patients, families, caregivers, physicians, nurses, insurers, health systems leaders, and policymakers.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities for the position include:
Apply quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques to manage and analyze research data.
Conduct interviews and analyze qualitative data and write up results
Conduct literature reviews of technical and professional publications
Construct, clean, validate, and document large datasets for both internal and project-related use and create customized and presentation-quality reports from quantitative data analysis results
Participate in the design of research studies
Support technical assistance activities and management of learning networks
Support the preparation of technical procedures, reports, and proposals, including writing and editing assigned sections of proposals and reports as well as reviewing work products to ensure quality and consistency of content
Support business development activities, including coordinating activities for proposals and grants
Support collaboration among team members, both internal and external to organization
Support client relationship management, including communicating with clients, write-up client-ready meeting summaries, and making logistical arrangements
Conduct various project management activities, which can include setting up Zoom and Teams video conference calls, coordinating across multiple calendars to arrange meetings, and managing timelines and budgets
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
Master's degree in health policy, public health, or related social science (psychology, sociology) field required or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience and knowledge of data analysis and data management techniques using analytic software (e.g. SAS, R, STATA, Python, NVIVO).
Proposal and report preparation experience.
Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as survey design, analysis of program administrative data, focus groups, or interviews
Experience working with large datasets in SAS, SPSS, or STATA is preferred but not required.
Bilingual in Spanish with experience in conducting Spanish-language interviews is preferred but not required.
Skills:
Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, with experience identifying and communicating key work issues to project and task leaders.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a virtual work environment with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
Effective time management skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines across multiple projects.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite or the equivalent (word processing, spreadsheets, email and calendar management, presentation software).

AIR's Total Rewards Program , is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission. This position offers an anticipated salary of $32.00/hr. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.
