Summary About the Position: Responsible for coordinating all facility and security program functions such as building maintenance and repair, building construction, physical and personnel security, safety, hazardous materials control, environmental compliance, and contractor oversight across the Army Museum Enterprise (AME) for all AME facilities including field museums, two Museum Support Centers (MSCs) and Training Support Facilities (TSFS) both within and outside the continental United States. Responsibilities Ensures all AME facilities meet mandated facility requirements specified according to Army Regulation for security, protection, and preservation of Army Artifact Collection items. Serves as lead for Army Museum Emergency Response Team (AMERT) for emergency response. Performs Anti-Terrorism, Operational Security (OPSEC), or Physical Security responsibilities with need to secure Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Personnel Security Investigation Portal (PSIP) accounts within first year in position. Performs a wide variety of extremely complex and specialized duties encompassing planning, developing, and evaluating projects. Managing alteration and construction projects, dataset management of Facilities information. Oversees and coordinates implementation and management of inter-service support for AME facilities. Conducts periodic reviews of utility management and energy conservation efforts to ensure proper use of utilities, load reduction plans, etc. Maintains facilities data analytics dashboard for the AME with assistance from regional and museum staff. Develops, implements, and oversees the plans and programs for overall building(s) modernization, repairs, safety, physical and personnel security, key control, access, fire protection, and facility evacuation. Responsible for the AME Military Construction (MILCON) Program and serves as the AME representative on the Army MILCON Steering Committee. Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for facilities and construction related contracts when required. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preserving museum artifacts and understanding specialized environmental requirements for museum artifacts; utilizing security requirements for high value museum artifacts; understanding state/federal safety regulations; understanding HVAC, control systems, automated building and security systems; identifying operating inefficiencies and develop improvements to achieve desired goals; submitting budget estimates for yearly budget cycle; review space management and engineering survey reports to determine correct space utilization; planning major renovations or construction projects, based on forecasted building or land utilization.
