Summary The Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) is seeking a motivated individual to serve as a senior analytical liaison officer within the Center to represent JWAC's capabilities to United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and associated entities. Individuals filling this role should have an expert-level knowledge of the USSOCOM enterprise as well as JWAC's analytic modeling methods, models, and approaches. Responsibilities DR-0801/1515-03 Serves as a Combatant Command (CCMD) Senior Analytical Liaison Officer within JWAC, responsible for representing JWAC capabilities and identifying potential analytic focus areas for supporting CCMD operations & planning. Performs liaison work to include analyzing, researching, and formulating official responses to requests from General & Flag Officers, and staffs. Represents JWAC at senior CCMD levels, building and maintaining professional relationships. Leverages expertise in CCMD priorities and initiatives to foster & facilitate JWAC engagement. Coordinates across JWAC and with external stakeholders/partners on key technical initiatives supporting strategic objectives of CCMD and JWAC. Provides expert operational and technical knowledge/advice to division chiefs, senior engineers/scientists, JWAC senior leadership, and the technical workforce, enabling alignment of JWAC capabilities with CCMD priorities. Communicates at a high level, both orally and in writing, to effectively express highly technical information to individuals or groups with varying levels of technical expertise and seniority, internal and external to JWAC. Communicates highly technical concepts and products to operational audiences, ensuring analytic conclusions are appropriately addressing CCMD constraints/restraints, fall within relevant guidance, and are technically sound. In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the basic education and/or specialized experience requirements. For DR-III: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DR-II/GS-12/13 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as work in the private or public sector performing duties in or related to the work of the position being filled. Examples of specialized experience include performance of liaison work to include controlling, analyzing, researching, and formulating official responses to requests from military officers and staffs, planning, drafting, coordinating, and presenting operational and policy documents for military operations, and in-depth application of engineering and/or scientific analytic modeling methods and approaches to solve complex military challenges. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the DR-II (GS-12/13 equivalent) position in the federal service. Knowledge of trends and developments in the military, political, social, and cultural aspects of near-peer competition and the ability to direct the development of applicable engagement options is strongly desired.
