Based out of Reston, VA, you'll work with other geologists, engineers, scientist, subject matter experts, and project managers on exciting projects in which you will learn from others and pass along your knowledge. You'll work with a knowledgeable and supportive group of professional staff as you plan and execute project work and lead a project team to complete tasks in the field or office. Responsibilities may include designing, performing, or overseeing soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and surface water investigations, building teams of colleagues and subcontractors, coordinating, and managing fieldwork logistics, data analysis and interpretation, technical report writing, and participating in meetings with clients and regulators.

Estimated approximately 80-90% of your time will be spent on office work that will be completed in a Hybrid work environment (you'll be afforded the flexibility to work from both the office as well as from home as best suited to meet project delivery goals while maintaining balance). Remaining 10-20% of your time may require travel for project meetings, site visits, or other project needs.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or other closely related degree.
Professional experience with delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects, including fieldwork methodology/procedures and assessment/evaluation of data for various environmental media.
Experience working on project sites and overseeing subcontractors.
Experience leading teams toward a common goal.
Willingness to occasionally travel (includes local travel in the Washington D.C area (DMV) as well as travel outside of the region).
40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification.
United States Citizenship.
Ability to work in the Washington D.C. (DMV) area.
Ideally, you'll also have:
Master's degree in engineering, geology, or other closely related degree.
Professional registration (e.g., Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist) or the intent to obtain and maintain professional certification.
Self-driven time management and organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with coworkers, contractors, and clients.
Strong attention to detail when conducting field work and evaluating data.
Experience working on projects following the CERCLA or RCRA cleanup process.
