Responsibilities
Noblis MSD's mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking an Electronics Technician to support U.S. Navy Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Submarine programs. You will provide engineering and technical assistance support at NSWCPD.
This is a full time position, and will consist of a combination of remote work, and onsite work at ships located in OCONUS Submarine concentration areas.
The position will include supporting the modification, troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, development, manufacturing and upgrading of SCEMS. This includes providing on-site support to submarines and other naval facilities.
The position shall provide support as follows:
System troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and design development for modifications to incorporate upgrades, improvements, and modernization. Design, development and integration of state of the art equipment or technical improvements related to legacy systems.
Provide engineering and installation support services along with technical services to modify systems, drawings, technical documentation, maintenance documentation or technical manuals. Provide drawing revisions or technical documentation changes based on shipboard installations, or as-built conditions or shipboard design changes.
Develop new innovative techniques or equipment to support In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) functions and system improvements. Engineering support will include some conceptual development of system drawings for new prototype projects. Types of conceptual drawings may include system diagrams, arrangement, schematics and sketches.
Provide technical evaluation on conceptual designs, design analyses in support of all submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems.
Develop new innovative techniques or equipment to support ISEA functions and system improvements.
Provide engineering evaluation reports on conceptual designs and design analysis.
Support configuration changes, documentation updates and the resolution of Problem Reports and Casualty Reports (CASREPS).
Provide reliability engineering for the development of reliability requirements, implementation of design for reliability processes, reliability test plan development, and test data analysis.
Provide Life Cycle Support, improvements to hardware products; support of common technologies for acquisition of hardware intensive systems; support of NAVSEA policies for acquisition of hardware intensive systems.
Provide systems analysis support for development of planning documents and reports. Analyze and manage technical and program information.
Perform technical reviews of maintenance and repair standards and provide technical reports containing technical recommendations for changes or improvements.
Support the development and review of the following Engineering Change Proposals (ECP's): TBD
Develop, implement and maintain systems engineering documents such as test plans, test procedures, C4I system plans, and interface design specifications.
m. Review technical planning documents, prototype technical specifications, white papers, and schedules to identify technical risks or conflicts and provide technical impact assessments for identified risks and corrective recommendations.
Attend In-Service Engineering meetings to obtain, exchange, and report technical information, and provide records of these meetings.
Provide design, fabrication, software and analysis support to satisfy unique and specialized requirements.
Provide technical support in advanced technologies development and integration. Support advanced data and spatial captures aboard submarines to create prototype models and animations utilizing various software such as in AutoCAD Inventor and SolidWorks. Utilize advanced technologies including laser meteorology, virtual environments, various modeling & simulations techniques, and drawing development in 2D and 3D.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field and five years minimum technical experience in architecting and designing electrical to mechanical systems or a minimum of eleven years of related experience such as active military service as an ET, ETV or FC.
Troubleshooting of lab and system hardware.
Additional electronics technician related experience may also be considered.
Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of network related Submarine electronic system concepts.
SCEMS Subject Matter Expert Preferred.
Knowledge of basic project management principles to include but not limited to planning, organizing, directing and controlling organizational resources in order to meet goals and objectives.
Experienced in specific to Naval maintenance and upkeep processes is a plus.
Ability to interact with multiple Navy activities and effectively communicate technical information with all levels of personnel both military and civilian.
Proficient in using MS Office products.
Excellent communications skills a must.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees.
