The Work
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a candidate to support the design, analysis, and requirements development/verification of innovative techniques for legacy radar systems and high performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems, as well as communication systems. The successful candidate will have strong analytic and communication skills and work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment. Occasional travel may be required.
The Lead Radar/EW/Communications Systems Engineer will:
Work in lab and development environments to conceptualize, prototype, test, and demonstrate innovative techniques in support of advanced waveform, spectrum management, and radar control design
Provide guidance and leadership for program execution
Navigate major program milestones
Develop development schedules, identify critical paths, develop integration plans, provide cost estimates, create staffing plans, facilitate team development, and develop risk mitigation plans
Support the planning and execution of development and integration activities; working with systems, software, and hardware teams to coordinate schedules
Lead design reviews, system demos, flight tests, element and system level verification activities, and system certification
Execute integration and test activities, evaluate test results, investigate discrepancies, technically assess anomalies, and drive them to resolution.
Perform functional analysis, design trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Develop models and detailed simulations to assess system performance.
Represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers,
program and senior leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant technical matters
