Program Protection Platform Engineer Sterling Heights, MI Contract Position $46.42-$53.56/Hour Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. Responsibilities: Support the development, integration, and protection of C5ISR systems for armored vehicles by driving cybersecurity initiatives, system security engineering, and program protection activities. Develop and apply system security engineering and program protection strategies for major defense acquisition programs. Create and advise on Program Protection Implementation Plans (PPIPs) and collaborate with customers throughout the process. Identify and mitigate program security risks in coordination with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Collaborate with experts in software assurance, cybersecurity, and supply chain risk management to protect advanced technologies. Analyze critical program information and components to ensure protection for cutting-edge technologies. Coordinate C5ISR integration to ensure system design compliance within project schedules and constraints. Promote best practices in cyber-physical design and develop cybersecurity awareness across engineering teams. Manage system requirements, architectures, and designs, ensuring compliance with contract specifications. Lead troubleshooting, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), and issue resolution for production and test projects. Develop and review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) artifacts for technical accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with IPTs on threat analysis, interface development, and requirements decomposition. Participate in peer reviews and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant cyber technical certifications considered. Clearance: Security Clearance required; non-US citizens may not be eligible. Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in engineering or military projects. Experience in military vehicle development, integration, and embedded systems. Expertise in Program Protection Planning (PPP) and development of PPIPs. Knowledge of cyber warfare (offensive or defensive) and cyber-physical security requirements. Experience with troubleshooting electronic hardware, including line replaceable units. Familiar with software and computer science principles. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project). Ability to manage system-level requirements and develop technical documentation.
