SUMMARY
The Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Drafter III will support the Command,
Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence
(C4I)/Information Technology (IT) electronic systems equipment,
infrastructure, engineering, design, installation, and Supply and
Warehouse support to Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC
Pacific) during design, installation, configuration, and transition to
operations of the IT infrastructure for multiple facilities throughout the
period of performance. Services required include design, installation,
termination, test, and documentation of desktop devices, peripherals,
IT cable plant, rack, power distribution units (PDU) and incident to
the installation of C4I/IT electronic systems, installation of C4I/IT
electronic systems equipment as assigned and in accordance with government
installation design plans (IDP), the NIWC Pacific Shore Installation
Process Handbook (SIPH) and project sponsor processes and associated
logistical
The work is conducted within existing classified office spaces, IT data
centers, IT telecommunications spaces or other spaces designated to house
C4I/IT electronics systems equipment and newly constructed secure building.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess and maintain a current TS clearance; SCI eligibility is highly
preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Personnel must be qualified in the use the latest version of AutoCAD and REVIT
and other technical drafting / illustration software to render various types
of plans and technical illustrations for the preparation of all drawings.
Must be familiar with Telecommunications, AV, Telecommunications
Cabling, General Engineering Guidelines and Design for OSP and ISP Spaces.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may

Provides computer aided design drafting, prepares drawing and schematics
derived from a variety of specification, layouts, blueprints and sketches.
Utilizes CAD software and other techniques, standards and tools to prepare
technical drawings. Personnel must be qualified in the use the latest version
of AutoCAD and REVIT for the preparation of all drawings. Will coordinate and
consult with engineers and/or designers to complete projects.
Transforms initial rough products designs into working documents using CAD
software.
Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established
specification and standards. Collaborates with other departmental leads to
resolve discrepancies between originals and final CAD designs.
Creates, modifies, converts, and provides telecommunications drawings,
figures, illustrations, and schematic by automated and manual methods for
all s
Uses drafting procedures, processes, technical specifications and
engineering parameters of systems and equipment to ensure accuracy.
Works with engineers and other designers to prepare drawings showing
telecommunication outlet placement, IT room layouts, rack elevations,
wall elevations, connectivity one-line drawings, and detail drawings
consisting of different telecommunication installation instructions which
require a high degree of precision.
Updates redlined drawings from the field to make a final client deliverable
package.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job
description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize
personal output.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and
receptive to all training made available by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree in drafting or a related field from a technical or
community college and a minimum of (3) years' relevant experience
and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
