Field Sales Engineer- Southeastern US-Remote
We have an extremely rewarding opportunity for a Field Sales Engineer to join our Defense Solutions Team!
As part of the sales team, you will provide technical sales support to assure successful customer integration and implementation of established company products and helps drive roadmap conversations on future Curtiss-Wright technology. You will support unit sales plan through pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting activities. Requires extensive knowledge of company's most complex products.
This position will likely be based out of your home office and requires travel throughout the ?Southeastern US.
Location: Remote - Southeastern US -requires flexibility to travel to customers ~40% of time. Ideal location is Northern Virginia, Greater DC Metro area.

Your Challenge:
Prepares and presents customer's technical needs to company teams.
Typical pre-sales activities include gaining understanding of customer's business and technical needs, assisting in the preparation and presentation of technical proposals of how company's products can meet those needs.
Delivering and supporting loaner equipment within our customer's spaces and working with customer teams to achieve success with loaner equipment.
Typical post-sale activities include keeping customer current on how company's product enhancements can meet customer's changing needs and working directly with customers on initial integration activities between our hardware and customer systems.
Will likely also provide guidance to less experienced Sales Engineers.
What you Bring:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or Aerospace preferred)
Past relative experience organizing and orchestrating teams of professionals to solve problems in support of Defense and Aerospace OEMs who supply Radars, Aircraft Electronic Systems, Electronic Warfare or Mechanized Land Armored Vehicles within the Southeastern portion of the US (10+ years)
Extensive knowledge of rugged embedded systems (5+ years)
Must have US Passport with ability to freely travel throughout US/Canada
Familiarity with the usage of CRM systems, the proven ability to foster discipline and generate/create bidding opportunities with major OEM accounts.
Past dealings (as a supplier or employee) with Northrop Grumman, L3Harris, Leonardo-DRS, Lockheed, the US Navy, and the US Army are highly desired.
US DoD Security Clearance or ability to hold a clearance is required
Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and collaboration, and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external customers
Strong organization skills with the ability to manage strategic, operational and tactical responsibilities in a "roll up the sleeves" hands-on culture focused on delivering results
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in implementing metrics and measurements to evaluate results and drive continuous improvement
Excellent leadership skills to organize and orchestrate a geographically dispersed team of professionals
