Summary of the Position
We are seeking a skilled Senior Active RF Engineer. In this role, you will
design and develop active RF systems for our cutting-edge products. Within
your first year here, you will be expected to lead projects with small,
multidisciplinary teams. This will require you to prepare and present
technical material for your customers. You will interface directly with your
customer to negotiate and verify specification compliance and guide the work
of your team to ensure successful project completion. You will work with your
customer and your team to strike a collectively agreeable balance among
system-level considerations including performance, cost, schedule, etc.
You will also be expected to lead and mentor junior engineers, providing
technical guidance and expertise to support their professional development.
Required Education and Experience
Must have US citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (master's degree
preferred) or equivalent
Experience with RF devices such as amplifiers, attenuators, phase
shifters, and mixers
Experience with RF signal budget analysis for system metrics such as gain,
noise figure, and power
Strong analytical and hardware troubleshooting skills
Proficiency in a technical programming language such as Python
Proficiency with RF test equipment including network analyzers and spectrum
analyzers
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex
technical concepts to customers, peers, and management
Experience with printed circuit board layout and assembly (especially Altium
Designer)
Up to date with advancements in RF technology and industry trends, and
incorporate relevant innovations into our design processes
Preferred Education and Experience
RF front-end design
Antenna design and testing
Electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, FEKO, CST, or Microwave Office

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office and laboratory. This role routinely
uses laboratory equipment such as vector network analyzers, signal
generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Typical office hours
include Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, however these hours will vary
based on workload and the manager's discretion. This job may require more
than 40 hours of work per week as the need arises.
