Description
Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated support to the Program Element Monitor responsible for the Secretary of the Air Force, Special Programs (SAF/AQL) survivability portfolio
Work and collaborate on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently
Execute analysis of survivability technologies and associated systems to include system acquisition and life cycle management for programming, budgeting, and security policy
Use your in-depth understanding of survivability, warfighter capability and requirements, DoD system acquisition, programs and defense policy to evaluate issues and provide recommendations up to the Director/GO/SES level on the portfolios security policy
Oversee the efforts of senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific project
Provide acquisition oversight and support portfolio management activities including working groups and integrated product teams
Interface with other DoD Services, Congress, industry, and other external offices and agencies
Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years of relevant DoD work experience, including experience on survivability related programs, research and development, or advanced technologies
In-depth knowledge of manned and unmanned aircraft survivability and electronic warfare to include signature management in the RF/IR spectrum
DoD 5000.02 acquisition experience on one or more ACAT I and/or ACAT II acquisition programs for research, development, test, evaluation, production, modernization or lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities of a DoD program
Working experience on a MAJCOM level or higher Staff ExperienceNo less than two (2) years' experience in a Special Access Programs
Operational experience (DESIRED)
Strong communications skills
Bachelor's degree in a science, mathematics, engineering or related technical field
Desired:
SCI environment within the last five (5) years
Master of Science (MS) Degree
