Job Title: Senior Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Reston, VA Preferred. New York or Portland OR will be considered.
About This Role:
The Human Resources Business Partner provides direct client support to leaders and employees in the US and Canada. This position will work with internal HR partners and business leaders to identify, develop, and execute solutions across the full spectrum of HR disciplines to support the business strategy, promoting a high-performance culture and building strong employee engagement. Key initiatives and activities include those in performance management, talent development, employee relations, and organizational development. The HR Business Partner plays an essential role in establishing and driving HR programs/talent initiatives forward.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
Partner with the Human Resources team and internal clients to formulate and drive execution of HR plans in support of business strategy, participating in the development and improvement of HR programs, such as recruiting, retention, compensation, benefits, and Learning & Development.
Serve as advisor, coach and partner to the management team of assigned departments, providing HR expertise and solutions in matters related to employee relations, career development, workplace ethics, compensation, and performance management.
Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
Engage in the design and execution of the performance management process, providing expertise and direction to the organization
Provide guidance and consultation on organizational restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
Address employee relations issues and complaints, including investigation into and resolution of formal employee complaints
Assist with global mobility and visa sponsorship actions
Interpret and advise on the application of federal laws (such as EEO, ADA) partnering with internal and external counsel where necessary
May oversee, train and/or mentor other members of the HR team.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas, especially organization development, change management, and employee relations.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive, professional HR experience with demonstrated competency in employee relations and effective business partnership
A broad knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations
Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex issues and projects concurrently
Excellent coaching, influencing, facilitation and problem-solving skills
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. Critical thinker with success in developing effective solutions to business issues
Proven ability to form strong partnerships with internal clients and partners
Ability to travel periodically based on needs of the business
Compensation - $110,000 - $120,000; Commensurate with experience
