Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Program Director for project in Doha, Qatar.
Provides direction and management for every phase of large projects or programs to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. The Program Director must be capable of managing multiple projects or program valued up to $1.5 billion in total installed cost. The project or program requiring company representation at this level may be of lesser total installed cost if management determines that it requires an unusual technical or managerial approach. Relocation to the job site may be required.
What You’ll Be DoingThe Program Director shall have proven track record of Development Management skills and experience in large –scale building projects but not limited to the following:
- Administration of multiple contract forms.
- Working knowledge of international standards, pre and post-contract planning, budgeting and cost controlling.
- Extensive experience in Development Management
- Ability to work as part of specialist team, work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in administering multiple contracts at any one time.
- Ability to handle multi-tasks and work in fast-paced environment.
- Organized, effective problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Administration of multiple contract forms.
- Having thorough knowledge and skill in interpreting contracts and dealing with variations, conflicts, claims, disputes, and other commercial issues.
- Organized, effective problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Holder of minimum a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Registered member for relevant discipline in Qatar MMUP Engineering
- Committee or registered member of recognized professional body.
- Shall have minimum 15 years post graduate demonstrable experience in Design and Development Management
- Shall have minimum 5 years’ experience as Programme Manager /Development Manager
- Shall have minimum 5 years’ experience in the Middle East.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
- Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
