NightWing is seeking a Software Engineer with Java development experience to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities to include, but not limited to Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence. NightWing supports a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment, including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. Responsibilities: - Act as the SME for Atlassian tools (Jia, Jira Align, Confluence, etc..). - Provide recommendations and deploy sustainable architecture throughout multiple environments - Provide day-to-day operational support activities as well as strategic planning initiatives with Atlassian tools - Collaborate within Agile Scrum team as a key contributor responsible for converting proprietary vendor code for integration with multiple advanced cybersecurity-oriented capabilities. - Create interfaces and interaction layers using industry best practices, latest web trends/technologies and associated tools - Work with customers, testers, and administrators to develop, test, and deploy software builds - Develop high quality technical documentation, as needed, including user guides, test plans, and contract deliverable items Required Skills: - U.S. Citizenship - Active DoD Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. - Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability - 6+ years of software development experience required. - 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java development and related technologies - 2+ years of experience with Agile software development - Experienced in the development lifecycle of supporting and customizing Atlassian tools (Jira, Jira Align, Confluence) to meet the needs & demands of enterprise stakeholders - Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems - Solid understanding and working experience with cloud technologies, i.e. AWS, Azure - Possesses or quickly develops a comprehensive understanding of Government Information Security policies, regulations, and guidelines - Must be able to work collaboratively across agencies and physical locations Desired Skills: - Technical understanding of account management and user authentication solutions - Experience with JavaScript, XML and SQL - Experience and/or familiarity with Continuous Development / Continuous Integration concepts, and tools - Experience with integrations utilizing cutting-edge and cloud technologies - Experience working with HSPD-12 - DHS experience Required Education: - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, OR Computer Systems Engineering. The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
