Pima County Information Technology is seeking a passionate Business
Intelligence Analyst II. As a member of our team, you'll help translate
business needs into actionable data solutions that guide decisions and
improve the efficiency and effectiveness of departments across Pima
County. You'll play a key role in bridging the gap between stakeholders
and data, ensuring that reporting and analytics solutions are
well-scoped, well-built, and aligned with real business goals. In this
role, you will lead efforts to gather and validate business
requirements, design and build BI solutions, and manage the delivery of
data projects projects from concept to completion. You will work closely
with teams across various departments to understand business processes,
define reporting and data needs, and translate those needs into
dashboards, reports, and data solutions that drive better
decision-making.

Essential Duties:
Acts as a subject matter expert on requirements gathering and
business analysis, providing recommendations for process
improvements.
Leads discovery sessions with internal and external stakeholders to
elicit, document, and validate business, data and reporting
requirements.
Translates business requirements into functional specifications,
data models, and BI solution designs.
Designs, builds, and maintains dashboards, reports, and analytics
solutions using business intelligence tools.
Manages small to mid-sized data and analytics projects, including
scoping, timelines, milestones, and stakeholder communication.
Facilitates user acceptance testing and iterates on solutions based
on stakeholder feedback.
Documents processes, workflows, and solution designs to support
ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer.
Researches issues and assists in their resolution.
Train users on BI and data solutions.
Identifies operation inefficiencies and help facilitates
organizational change processes.

Works with internal and external customers and Analytics and Data
Governance partners to develop and analyze business intelligence needs;
Interprets business requirements and determines data analysis solutions
to meet department needs;
Designs analytics and custom reports that can potentially be used in
multiple departments throughout the County;
Performs analysis for a wide range of requests using data from various
platforms;
Researches business problems and creates data models that help analyze
identified issues;
