Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

The Sr Advanced Engineering Technician will pro-actively support engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. This may entail performing the following:
Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces
Performs complex system level troubleshooting to component level
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems
What you'll experience:
Perform assembly and testing of transduction devices and subsystems
Execute established test procedures and document results accurately
Operate and interpret data from electronic test equipment, including:
Digital and analog multimeters
Oscilloscopes
Power supplies
Signal generators
Troubleshoot electronic circuits, wiring, connectors, power distribution, and control electronics to isolate failures
Support failure analysis and root-cause investigations in coordination with engineering teams
Verify hardware configuration against engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation
Identify, document, and track discrepancies, anomalies, and corrective actions
Support regression testing after hardware or design changes
Maintain test setups, cables, and equipment used for testing
Follow safety, quality, and configuration control procedures
Participate in technical reviews, test readiness activities, and problem-solving discussions as required
