The Intelligent Transportation Systems Analyst reports to the Intelligent Transportation Systems Engineer. The primary duties of this position include:
Plan, program, and maintain the traffic signal network and ITS equipment.
Conducts field inspections and makes field adjustments.
Configure and maintain the operation of the Town of Gilbert's Traffic Signal/ITS systems.
Review traffic control plans and implement them using ITS equipment and software.
Maintain and troubleshoot ITS databases, workstations, and servers for the Traffic Operations Center and the Town of Gilbert Traffic Signal Systems.
Conduct traffic engineering studies using traffic counts to determine appropriate traffic control devices.
Monitor traffic conditions and make traffic signal timing changes.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.

Associate's degree or Two-Year Technical Certificate in Traffic Engineering or Electrical Theory.
5 Years of experience in Traffic Engineering or Traffic Signal Construction and Maintenance.
3 Years of experience in electronics or electrical theory.
2 Years of experience in fiber optic communications.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
IMSA Work Zone Safety Certification.
IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector.
IMSA Traffic Signal Technician, Field Level 2.
IMSA Traffic Signal Technician, Construction Level 2.
IMSA Fiber Optic Technician Level 2.
IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level 3 (within 1 year).
IMSA Transportation Center System Specialist Level 1 (within 1 year).
Arizona Driver's License.

This position works onsite full-time. and has been designated as a Medium work position that spends much of their workday outdoors with some office work.
