The JF Petroleum Group FPandA team is looking for a Financial Analyst to join us in Morrisville, NC. In this role, you will partner with the Distribution functional Business Leaders, providing financial and business analyses and financial recommendations. This individual will review data sets, prepare analyses, and make recommendations to improve division, region, and company profitability as well as plan, consolidate, and analyze actuals, forecasts, and budgets. As a Financial Analyst, you will need the ability to understand complex financial problems and provide explanations and solutions that are sound and clearly communicated.
Core Responsibilities of the Job:
Acts as a business consultant, responding and communicating thoroughly and efficiently to both internal and external customer requests
Assist in the planning process, including the rolling monthly forecast and annual budget
Provide support to key areas in the organization including Sales and Operations through performance and profitability analysis
Assist the FPandA team and other departments in analytics initiatives including individual business intelligence strategy, data visualization implementation, and data literacy
Review reporting packages in order to maximize efficiency and support with automation
Actively participate in the preparation and consolidation of annual financial plans including volume forecasts and operating expense budgets
Perform special projects, including data integrity, profitability analyses, data warehousing, and ROI models as required to support management and the business
Maintain process ownership and perform the monthly commission calculations for a large outside sales team with 100% accuracy

Requirements
BS/BA in Finance, Statistics, or Business Administration from an accredited college/university is required
A minimum of 1 year of either public accounting (audit) experience
orexperience in a corporate industry performing financial modeling and planning, business analysis, data analytics or similar data-driven function
A minimum of 1 year of working knowledge in Microsoft Excel with Expert-level proficiency, including the ability to perform VLOOKUPs and index/match formulas, a high degree of proficiency with creating and manipulating pivot tables andpower pivot, and the ability to work efficiently with large data sets
A minimum of 1 year of experience with innovative problem solving using strong analytical and quantitative abilities in the fields of finance, statistics, and mathematical modeling
Experience with data warehousing and Power BI or other dashboarding applications
Experience with planning and business intelligence applications such as Vena is a plus
Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central and Sage Intacct is a plus
Intermediate skills in other Microsoft Office products
Proven ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks
Superior interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, exceptional grammar, business writing, and presentation preparation skills
Ability to achieve goals with minimal supervision
Must be able to meet companys employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company
Physical Requirements: include occasional lifting/carrying of 10 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
