Business Intelligence Analyst
Worksite: City of Industry, CA
Duties:
Building and analyzing data from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources, and reporting infrastructure to provide
real-time insights into sales, marketing, shipments and pricing strategy and daily operating strategy;
Leverages use Power Query, Power BI and SQL or other related technologies to create data cleaning, validation, pipe lining, and data visualization to monitor current and potential
customers, improve sales of existing products, and identify markets for future product development;
Create business analytics reports, graphs, charts, documents, and slide presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other statistical software for review by executives,
managers, clients, and stakeholders;
Maintain the necessary data in the system, and utilize databases, logs, and other sources to locate and verify data information, ensure key performance metrics are met;
Perform internal business process analysis using statistical analysis, simulation, and optimization to develop optimal business solutions;
Evaluate the current business operation, work with the management team to formulate business process changes, update policy, implement performance incentives and sales initiatives,
reduce transportation cost, improve efficiency, identify business opportunities and loopholes, and provide suggestions for increasing profit margin;
Work collaboratively with different functional departments (Operation, Accounting, IT) to execute improvements in the overall operations;
Prepare and deliver recommendations or alternatives for improving processes in operating and/or financial systems across the organization.
Supports supplier/carrier relationship management process, supplier/carrier performance reviews, and supplier/carrier development initiatives by providing data-driven vendor
scorecards;
Maintain positive relationships with numerous internal and external customers and partners by understanding their business needs as well as the need to balance service and cost;
Keep abreast of knowledge of the industry and business analysis technology trends by contacting professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors, etc;
Participate in business management meetings and provide constructive feedback to management.
Requires: Bachelors Degree in Economics, Business, or Market Research, plus proficient in Microsoft Suite, Power Query, Power BI, SQL
