Are you passionate about healthcare administration and ensuring that medical staff have the resources they need to provide exceptional care? We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Staff Coordinator to join our dynamic team at a well-established hospital in Glens Falls, NY.
As a Medical Staff Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the credentialing and reappointment processes for our medical and allied health staff. You'll be instrumental in ensuring compliance with hospital bylaws and regulations while helping keep our team of professionals equipped and ready to deliver quality patient care.
What You'll Do:
Coordinate the credentialing and reappointment processes, ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations.
Distribute and verify credentialing applications to keep staff reappointments on track.
Notify medical and allied health staff about their bi-annual reappointment responsibilities.
Ensure all documentation is updated and in compliance to prevent expirations during reappointment cycles.
Provide administrative support to the Medical/Dental staff organization using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and databases.
Manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
What We're Looking For:
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
Certifications: CPCS or CPMSM certification is preferred. If not certified, must be obtained within 3 years.
Experience: 1-2 years in credentialing and privileging. We also welcome candidates with hospital-based data analysis or IT database experience.
Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), medical terminology knowledge, and database management.
