Job Description:
Electrical Inspector (QA/QC)
Doha, Qatar
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented QA/QC Electrical Inspector to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Ensure that all electrical (Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and Extra Low Voltage) installations and equipment on site comply with relevant standards and regulations.
Conduct inspections and testing of electrical & ELV systems, components, and equipment to identify any issues or faults.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality of electrical materials and workmanship, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, site conditions, and any deviations from the approved plans. Prepare detailed inspection reports and submit them to the project manager.
Ensure that construction activities follow safety regulations and adhere to occupational health and safety standards. Conduct safety inspections and report any potential hazards.
Ensure that all statutory authority NOCs/permits/design approvals are available on site for construction.
Review all construction documents and highlight any design and contractual discrepancies with the concerned Senior Engineer.
Conduct regular (daily) site visits and supervise, verify the installation of Electrical (Low voltage and Extra Low voltage) works, ensuring compliance with the contract documents.
Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, site instructions/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
Raise non-conformance notices (NCNs)/reports and corrective action notices (CARs) and identify quality deficiencies in conjunction with the Senior Engineer.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Electrical construction ideally as an electrical inspector in a consultancy or engineering environment
Strong knowledge of Electrical engineering principles
Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards , Karhamma standards , QCS specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
MMUP certified Engineer
