HR Payroll Processor
LHH is looking for a HR Payroll Processor for a client of ours, a financial firm is located in Melville, NY. This Payroll person will sit within their HR Dept. and coordinate with their Benefits team as well. This person will be working 100% on-site. This person should have a detail-oriented and organized mindset and experience with payroll processing as this will be processing payroll for approx. 30 people. This position will pay between $50,000- $55,000, contingent on experience.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner using payroll software. Ensure all payroll transactions are properly documented and comply with relevant regulations.
Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records, including but not limited to timekeeping, attendance, benefits, and o. Update employee information as needed and ensure data integrity.
Compliance: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance. Process payroll taxes and deductions accurately and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Reporting: Generate payroll reports as needed for management and accounting purposes. Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to government agencies as required.
Documentation: Maintain payroll documentation and records in an organized manner. Prepare and distribute pay stubs, W-2 forms, and other payroll-related documents to employees as necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in payroll processing and HR administration.
Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and labor laws.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year
