Accountant

Our client, a large, national corporation, is hiring for an Accountant role. This is a new position open due to the growth of the company. You will work on a fast-paced accounting team and be involved in their daily accounting and month end closing processes. This is a permanent position that will provide someone early in their career with a broad range of accounting experience including; month end close, financial statement preparation, etc. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus bonus, generous 401k match and a full benefits package. They work 5 days in the office.
Your responsibilities will include:
Daily and month end accounting work; bank reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
Assisting with the financial statement preparation for the company
Serve as a resource for the external audit firm on both tax and general accounting matters
Your qualifications should include:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance along with two or more years of experience
Accounting experience within a GAAP environment is required
Strong Excel skills are necessary for success in this position
Must be a mature, motivated individual that can take direction and get up to speed quickly
Prior experience with a G/L system is highly preferred
