Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Assist in the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Process payroll data, including wages, deductions, benefits, and taxes.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in the payroll system.
Prepare and distribute paychecks/direct deposit.
Process payroll-related transactions, such as garnishments, vacation time, and sick time.
Employee Records:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records, including address, contact information, earnings, and absences.
Update employee information in the HRIS/payroll system.
Inquiry and Issue Resolution:
Assist employees with payroll-related questions and concerns.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and errors in a timely manner.
Stay informed about payroll procedures, regulations, and company policies.
Data Entry and Reporting:
Assist in preparing payroll reports, tax filings, and other payroll-related documents.
Maintain organized files and records.
General HR Support:
Provide administrative support to the HR department, including data entry, filing, and general office tasks.
May assist with other HR functions, such as onboarding, employee relations, or HR projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
Thoroughness and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Basic knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent required; some post-secondary education or relevant experience preferred.
Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
