Production Planner
Seeking a well-qualified Production Planner for an established aerospace plant in Portland, CT
Salary: $24-$32/hour (Based on Experience)
Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Full Time, M-F
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to take your planning skills to the next level? We're looking for a Production Planner to join our team in Portland, CT.
A Production Planner ensures smooth operations and timely production of high-quality aerospace components. They create schedules, manage inventory, and track work orders to meet customer deadlines. Acting as a key communicator, they coordinate between production, engineering, and management to align priorities and resolve challenges. Additionally, they maintain accurate reports and documentation to support efficiency and excellence.
What You'll Do:
Create and maintain work orders and inventory control items.
Generate reports and spreadsheets to support production.
Forecast, order, and ensure materials move efficiently through the manufacturing process.
Communicate effectively between production and engineering to meet customer schedules.
Assist in inventory cycle counts.
What You Bring:
Experience: 2 to 8 years in a similar role.
Education: Intermediate computer and math skills. ERP system knowledge is a plus!
MUST HAVE: Must be very strong within the Microsoft Office suite, especially EXCEL , as there will be a need to create and maintain spreadsheets for everything from scheduling to planning.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
