Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Electrical design responsibilities including power supply selection/design, microcontrollers/monitoring, interconnect/cabling, environmental controls (cooling/heating), backplanes and integration of customer hardware and software
Hardware and embedded software design using PIC microcontrollers
Hardware development and understanding the customer's hardware will be required
Provides customer assistance and interface with clients
Supports manufacturing and sales departments by preparing quotes, test specifications, production documents and other project related reports
Design to meet latest Safety & EMI/EMC directives
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with PPE procedures, work rules, and regulations
Maintain professional and technical knowledge
Serves as primary contact to outside vendors, in RFP's, quotations, contract negotiations/development and interactions
Document actions as necessary, compile project status reports and present to Management
Interacts effectively with coworkers, management and vendors in order to identify problems, research and present potential solutions and implement actions
Operate per established Company Policies and Procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering required ? At least 10 years design experience, or equivalent work experience, required per the above responsibilities
Projects are broad in nature, usually requiring appreciable originality and ingenuity
Familiarity of manufacturing methods preferred
Must be detail oriented, organized, very analytical
Oral and written communication skills required for interaction with engineering, customer and manufacturing personnel
Ability to work in a team that is highly motivated and knowledgeable
Great analysis and debugging skills
PCB and schematic capture design experience
Familiarity with military specs a plus
Familiarity with computing platforms and networking a plus
Wide degree of creativity, independence, multi-tasking latitude is required
Expert working Knowledge of Basic Computer Usage and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point and Excel)
Able to work in laboratory and manufacturing environment
Pay Details: $115,000.00 to $145,000.00 per year
