Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Description:
We are looking for a Staff Pharmacist to join our team on a temporary contract basis from January 27th to January 31st, 2025 . The primary responsibility for this role will be to compound Emergency Department (ED) medications on-site . This position does not require supervision of existing pharmacy staff .
As a Staff Pharmacist , you will be responsible for preparing and compounding critical ED medications according to established protocols, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Compounding Medications: Prepare and compound ED medications on-site according to physician orders and established standards.
Medication Management: Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and storage of compounded medications.
Collaboration: Work closely with the medical team to ensure the timely availability of required medications.
Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to pharmacy laws and regulations regarding medication preparation, compounding, and distribution.
Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy, safety, and quality of compounded medications to meet patient needs.
Qualifications:
Licensure: Valid state pharmacist license.
Experience:
Proven experience in compounding medications, particularly in an emergency department or acute care setting, is preferred.
Strong knowledge of compounding procedures and safety protocols.
Ability to work independently without requiring supervision of pharmacy staff.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details: $58.00 to $60.00 per hour
