IT Business Intelligence Analyst
SUMMARY : This position identifies, monitors, plans, develops, and implements and administers the database needs of the company. The Database Professional also acts as a liaison and advisor to the organization's Data Analytics team and assists with facilitating initiatives across the organization. This position will sustain the Mission and Motto and Food Safety and Quality Statement of the Mennel Milling Company.

PRIMARY WORK SHIFT: **Monday through Friday 8AM -- 5PM. Will vary, depending on workload.

Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP's, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.
Design and create database structures to align with business needs and objectives.
Write SQL scripts, procedures, functions and triggers for various database tasks and activities.
Maintain, optimize, and ensure the efficiency and security of SQL databases.
Perform data analysis, data modeling, and create reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Work closely with other developers, data analysts, and project managers to ensure the database aligns with the overall project requirements.
Support SQL database structure changes and data changes for application development/testing/deployment
Develop and implement SQL database recovery plans and procedures
Support Sql data architecture initiatives for primary application redesign, reporting needs, and new features and functions
Plan, prepare, test and perform SQL database patches and upgrades
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: * The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job. *
A bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology or other related fields preferred.
Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
Ability to travel up to 40%.
Strong analytical skills.
Understanding of SQL Server, MYSQL, Oracle and DB2 database engines
Proven experience writing SQL Scripts, Stored Procedures, Functions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extremely organized and detail oriented.

Ability to write, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information or data in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, supervisors, and managers.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Proficient in statistics and scientific method
