Utility Worker Job Description
Olsten is assisting a local client recruiting for a current Paper Mill Utility Worker in Rockingham, NC. We are looking for a hardworking utility worker to perform general duties. This is a long-term temporary to hire opportunity. As a member of the team, you will be relied upon to achieve optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Paper Mill Utility Worker Responsibilities:
Taking verbal and written instructions from company managers and maintenance officers.
Physically inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot quality of product and customer/order specifications
Retrieve order specs, documentation, and order data to/from our systems
Operate/maintain to assigned productivity standards
Follow job specific procedures during paper machine shut down; ability to assist in orderly start up and/or shut down paper machine
Cut and/or set cores
Assist with paper machine operations
Process rolls to customer specifications
Move material to and around paper mill and stock prep area
Ensuring the safe handling and storage of equipment.
Ensuring that utility projects have been completed and signed off.
Paper Mill Utility Worker Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience as a utility worker.
Ability to read and interpret written work orders.
Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
Ability to work in cold/hot/wet environment
Ability to work a 12 hour swing/rotating shift
Pay for this position is $17.00/hr. plus overtime as needed. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity.

Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
