Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Procurement Supervisor to join our team! In this role you will provide management and direction for all procurement functions on a small to medium-size project (domestic or international), including purchasing, expediting, supplier data control, supplier quality, and traffic.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Reviews work performed by subordinates to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed, and that quality is acceptable.
- Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of assigned procurement personnel.
- Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as Company and project needs arise.
- Monitors staffing requirements and expenditures within budget constraints.
- Coordinates procurement activities with clients, project management, and other departments/divisions within the Company.
- Actively participates in the Quality Improvement Process. Promotes technical excellence in all employees.
- May endeavor to develop a partnership agreement where supplier quality and performance are consistent with Company and client requirements.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining departmental and client policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with the Company's business ethics policy and with the Conflict-of-Interest Policy.
- Offers training in these policies, as needed, to the personnel assigned.
- Conducts performance evaluations, takes corrective action as necessary, recommends promotions and salary actions, and offers training and development for the assigned procurement personnel.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or economics or related field from a recognized university is required.
- 10+ years of experience of related work experience, including some experience in a lead capacity.
- Broad experience in a variety of procurement assignments, with airport civil and utilities infrastructure procurement experience highly preferred.
- Proven leadership capability, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.
- A demonstrated proficiency in utilizing DMCS (or similar material control system) is also required.
- Skilled in prioritization, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to present issues to management in written or oral reports, offering recommendations or corrective actions to the best interests of the client.
- Ability to collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Effective interaction in group settings, using judgment and discretion.
- Coordination with senior and junior staff to review client deliverables.
- Ability to work under deadlines and interact with staff and other organizations.
- Establish and monitor performance measures for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with staff and project managers to meet contractual project requirements.
