Job Description:
Reporting to the Division General Manager, the Program Manager is the site lead of Orlando operations with responsibility for meeting quality, schedule, and financial performance commitments regarding the company's laser range finders and designators. This position requires the individual to be capable of handling a broad range of competing priorities on a daily basis. The Program Manager / Site Lead is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of all programs and/or projects, ensure that customer requirements are met and oversee all phases of the development programs and/or projects within their span of control from inception through completion. He/she will be the business lead and primary customer contact with responsibility for the business unit's financial performance and new business within their product portfolio.

Essential Functions:
Acts as the program management lead, responsible for developing the business strategy, business unit financial projections, staffing & retention, and day to day business operations.
Works with the general manager in assisting with all strategic intiatives related to the division.
Works with the general manager in driving culture improvement and build a strong team.
Acts as a customer interface for all products and supports the team in leading customer reviews to discuss technical, cost and schedule activities.
Travels to customer and supplier locations domestically and internationally and represent division at trade shows.
Provides overall direction for assigned projects/programs over the entire development and production life cycle.
Responsible for the quality, schedule, and technical performance of products.
Develops and directs the program team to include resource allocation and management.
Understands the role and responsibility of each program team member, and through expert communication and leadership skills, establishes a common understanding among team members on scope, schedule, and financial objectives.
Collaborates with engineering, supply chain, and operations to create unified objectives for the site.
Provides input and supports implementation of root cause analysis / correctives action when necessary to initiate program changes.
In alignment with Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing Departments, reviews product design and configuration to ensure compliance with product specification, quality, customer requirements, legal requirements, and company standards.
Evaluates and approves design changes, specification, and Bill of Materials (BOM) changes, and drawing package release.
Identifies customer growth opportunities through the capture of new or adjacent business opportunities.
In depth understanding of U.S Government export rules and regulations as stipulated by the Department of State's International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Well-versed in the rules and regulations of both Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
Coordinates and provides required reports to management and customers regarding program performance and quality.
Proven success in a fast paced development and manufacturing environment and possess a willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure.
Confirms test failures and coordinate reporting of test failures, associated root cause and corrective actions per quality system, customer and contract requirements.
Coordinates resolution of supplier problems with Quality, Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing departments.
Works toward resolution of supplier and customer issues and concerns.
Ability to evaluate and make recommendations on Contracts and Bid Proposals.
Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.

Perform job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and procedures

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Minimum of 10 years experience in an optical, mechanical and / or electrical manufacturing environment
Minimum 8 years of direct supervision experience
10+ years managing P&L for programs or business unit
10+ years experience with concentration in EO, opto-mechanical and lasers focused in the defense industry
10+ years experience developing and executing strategies in a DoD environment
10+ years experience evaluating and making recommendations on Contracts and Bid Proposals.
United States Citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Possess and maintain a valid US Passport
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
