Job Description:
L3Harris is searching for a talented Field Engineer to join the Mission Networks Surveillance and Automated Solutions Division to support the deployment and maintenance team on a variety of infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on the field and traveling to various remote locations up to 75% of the time.
Essential Functions:
Provides support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems
Experience in field telecommunications/wireless site deployments and technical components.
Fundamental knowledge of RF system configurations and testing.
Awareness of LEC telco requirements and electric utility service process.
Perform comprehensive equipment component checkout and emergency generator startup upon successful construction installation.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to prepare for installations.
Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
Deliver training and guidance to customers and end-users on system operation and maintenance.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of field activities.
Assists with proper preparation prior to responding to any field effort, including but not limited to; travel requests, security information, checking of test records, installation records, required tools, and any previous modifications
Performs field service activities (e.g. verification/validation activities, field change instruction development, tech manual development and markups) in the support of engineering projects or programs
Responsible for following all proper safety requirements
Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, move equipment and heavy parts and sub-assemblies, and be able to perform the above duties indoors and outdoors during inclement weather.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
Must be able to work some occasional extended hours as needed
Minimum of 2 years of experience deploying and maintaining critical infrastructure
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in remote environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
Must be able to obtain Public trust clearance.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $61,000 - $114,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
