Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team, focusing on the engineering support for IT systems related to Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Persistent Awareness (PA). The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing, sustaining, and enhancing these critical systems through comprehensive engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support for the development and sustainment of C4ISR and PA systems.
Conduct thorough trade-off studies to evaluate various technology solutions and their applicability to project needs.
Support the adaptation and integration of C4ISR and PA systems into diverse operational environments, ensuring system compatibility and functionality.
Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including system designs, specifications, and operational manuals.
Demonstrate proficiency in network-centric and service-oriented architecture, applying best practices to optimize system performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements, resolve technical challenges, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in the field of systems engineering and apply this knowledge to improve system design and operation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering, specifically with C4ISR and PA systems.
Strong understanding of network-centric and service-oriented architecture, with the ability to design and implement solutions that meet operational requirements.
Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to conduct trade-off studies to evaluate different technology solutions.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
