As an Avionics Technician III, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations. You'll be responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing avionics components, and maintaining test equipment, tools, and manuals.

Responsibilities:
Fabricate, assemble, repair, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot avionics/electrical modules, components, and wire harnesses
Mark wires, assemble lays-up, terminate (crimp and solder) to engineering schematic specifications
Install wires and electrical components into electrical modules and assemblies per engineering drawings and specifications
Check drawings for accuracy and applicability for assigned tasks and advises the lead and/or supervisor of deficiencies
Perform electrical continuity checks, operational tests, and acceptance test procedures per engineering and manufacturer's instructions on harnesses and wired components
Troubleshoot, repair, and modify electrical components and assemblies per manufacturer's instructions, engineering schematics, and accepted industry practices
Record work progress, certifications, completion, and testing on various production documents per company standards and established procedures
Maintain shop and work area cleanliness
Qualifications You Must Have:
High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Ability to understand and interpret basic applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings
Advanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques
Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and flexibility.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and conflict resolution skills.
Experience with the practical application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
Must be willing to travel CONUS off rotation to perform Training, Medical, and Certification renewals.
Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment
Ability to deploy for an approximate 90 day rotation
Active Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope. and/or pitot static equipment
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Understanding of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures (FGOP).
Previous OCONUS deployment experience in remote locations
