Compass Point is looking for a Systems Analyst (Part-Time) to join our team supporting USSOCOM. In this role, you will be a part of an enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) process across SOFPREP's specialized software tools and networks. The position provides day to day support to facilitating the team's custom development, operation & maintenance, enhancement/modernization, and cybersecurity/Risk Management Framework (RMF) support to SOFPREP-owned infrastructure or technology assets. This is also in support of maintenance and enhancement of the SPPN domain and interfaces within the SOF Information Enterprise (SIE).
The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is a combatant command with global presence, ready to defend the homeland and to protect U.S. interests worldwide as part of the Joint Force. The objective of this project is to provide the Special Operations Warfighter with three-dimensional (3D) Scene Visualization Databases (SVD) and Enhanced Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) data (maps, imagery, and terrain data) in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) training, planning, rehearsal, and execution systems. SOFPREP's mission is to support battlespace visualization so SOF units know the area they will operate in before they get there.
Candidate must be able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance and possess a combination of education and demonstrated experience/training on networks and applications specific to DoD or similar environments, IT service management, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and other relevant domains. Candidate must be able to work with a team and exercise independent judgement on resolving complex technical issues without oversight as well as recommending creative/innovative ways to enhance the overall ITSM. Responsibilities
Support the hardware/software analysis, test & evaluation, and user assessment of emerging tools and applications used within the SOFPREP network to enhance systems engineering and technology management process.
Support the overall sustainment operation of J37-SP Systems including associated hardware, software, peripheral equipment, as well as service management processes. Work autonomously, by utilizing understanding of the domain knowledge, to resolve complex technical issues related to the SOFPREP Training technologies.
Perform and conduct research of creative resolutions of technical issues. Create solutions and maintain a knowledge base for investigating, diagnosing, and resolving incidents as applicable.
Utilize Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices for IT Service Management (ITSM) that focuses on solutions that have an integrated, enterprise-wide focus to deliver shared IT services that align the IT services with the needs of its customers and end users.
Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of IT Standard Process and Procedures and IdAM procedures that adhere to USSOCOM policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.
Define requirements and parameters for conducting and measuring end-user satisfaction surveys. (e.g., frequency, types of questions, how the satisfaction measurement metrics is derived, etc.). Support asset management and procurement activities.
Support and maintain ITSM Continuous Improvement program. Participate in regularly scheduled monthly meetings with IT Service Providers' operational and technical leadership to review recommended ITSM solutions, determine impact on other IT Services Areas, identify any alternative solutions or additional opportunities, to minimize outages and services disruptions, and report on recommended solutions and trackable metrics to use in measuring success.
Provide support for the COOP activities and training for new technology deployment.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent (relevant professional experience or military service is an acceptable substitute) or 3-5 year of relevant working experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain & maintain one is required.
Must possess one or one of the following: A+, Security+, Cloud+, ITIL
Demonstrated experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) Process supporting DoD or similar environment
Understanding of ITIL, agile methodologies, DoD Risk Management/Security policies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
