The Work
This position is responsible for systems development/support of flight simulators for the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Air Commando Training Support (ACTS) contract at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The support includes systems/hardware design, development, integration, test, and maintenance of flight simulators and offline support systems.
As a key member of our systems engineering team you will:
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, and maintain simulator systems
- Derive system requirements from the statement of work
- Allocate requirements to hardware and software components
- Develop detailed systems/hardware design and interface definition
- Perform hardware installation, integration, and test of aircrew training devices
- Support Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) technical reviews such as system requirements review, preliminary design review, critical design review, and test readiness review
- Review, update, and maintain systems documentation and drawings
You will interface with multiple functional areas to support operation & maintenance and modifications of flight simulators.
You possess excellent communication skills, enjoy collaborating with multiple team members and are open to work flexible hours as needed.
Note: This position is located in our Hurlburt Field, Florida location and requires periodic travel. This position requires a candidate who is a U.S. Citizen and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 2 or more years of work experience
- Experience with simulator architecture and components
- Experience with using AutoCAD to develop hardware design and drawings
Desired Skills:
-Experience working on aircraft simulations
-Experienced with hardware design, hardware
installation, cable fabrication, and troubleshooting system issues
-A solid understanding of drawing baseline structure and the ability to correctly roll new drawings into the baseline
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
