IERUS is currently recruiting a full time ISSO assisting with all security implementations and requirements described by NIST for classified IT infrastructure. Maintaining not only security policies, but the systems, servers, and accounts that require them. This position is contingent upon the award of work. All work will be done at IERUS Headquarters office in Huntsville, AL. Primary Responsibilities: - Support the implementation and administration of information security policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure the protection of systems, applications, and data on production and development networks; - Assisting with NIST 800-53 requirements including updating Security Policies, managing the POA&M, and increasing the security posture of IERUS business network; - Assists with maintaining the configuration management plan that meets NIST and 800-53 requirements; - Conducts audits to ensure IS security policies and procedures are implemented as defined in IERUS security plans; - Conduct vulnerability scans; - Manage and configure both Windows and Linux OS (CentOS and RedHat); - Assisting with providing oversight in maintaining and managing security policies needed not only by NIST requirements but also by best business practices; - Verifying integrity of software packages before installation on the network; - Installing and updating software and licensing servers on Windows and Linux; - Manage patches and software deployment using Central management software; - Maintain software whitelist; - Training new employees; - Manage Classified SIEMs; - Maintain and keep up to date IT Hardware Supply Inventory; - Assisting with upgrading and creating new servers for any application or infrastructure role; - Building new Linux PCs and installing and configuring baseline software; - Installing and configuring software on new Windows laptops; - Repairing old or broken hardware on desktops and laptops; - Troubleshooting and fixing minor issues and problems as they arise; - Implementing and verifying STIGs on machines for classified use; - Auditing computers in classified labs; and - Continually checking software updates for vulnerabilities before updates occur. Qualifications: - Active Top Secret clearance highly preferred, or an active Secret clearance at a minimum; - Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux OS; - Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V; - Understanding of standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts; - Previous SAP experience; - Familiarity with Windows OS deployment (e.g. SCCM); - Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization; and - Must be a U.S. citizen.
