Description
The Kitting Technician will perform staging, kitting, pre-checking, and material delivery ensuring the date of delivery of fielding material to the fielding site meets the Required Delivery Date (RDD) or in the Fielding Plan. This is a contingent position .
Job Responsibilities:
Assemble the items to be fielded into kits/packs/containers which shall configure to best support ease of installation at fielding site. Ensure delivery of fielding materiel to the fielding site to meet the Required Delivery Date (RDD) provided by the Government or in the Fielding Plan in a manner which supports timely fielding installation, checkout, and handoff.
Maintain the warehouse facility to store GFM/GFE and all materiel procured via the Delivery Orders. Ensure the storage facility has the required climate control and is secured and monitored 24 hours per day and 7 days per week.
Design, fabricate, update, and implement shipping/storage containers for shipment of all items from the storage facility to the fielding location when directed by the Government.
Utilize reliable commercial shipping that will securely transport materiel to the fielding location. Additional materiel transportation requirements will be specified within each individual Task/Delivery Order.
Pre-check all material to ensure it is in good working, physical, and functional condition prior to shipping.
Obtain and maintain a National Security Agency (NSA) Communications security (COMSEC) account in order to use Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI), such as:
one (1) Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) and
two (2) SINCGARS/Advanced System Improvement Program (ASIP) radios, to aid in determining an items working and functional condition when applicable.
Ability to lift ~ 50 pounds.
Certified to operate a forklift.
Adhere to the company's AS9100 policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Skills:
HS Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
Priority military experience is highly preferred (i.e. MOS 11C, supply and logistics experience).
