PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Estimator is an integral part of the manufacturing team. The Estimator will decompose technical data packages (TDPs) to determine the labor and material requirements for product realization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Create highly complex/specialized cost and schedule estimates for mechanical and electrical fabrication using bottoms up, similar to, and historical actual estimating methodologies
Read and interpret highly complex/specialized drawings, blueprints, schematics and military specification call outs
Identify part marking requirements.
Build highly complex/specialized manufacturing and procurement Bill of Materials (BOMs) from technical data packages
Quote set up and run times for parts
Develop positive relationships with internal and external customers to ensure that productivity goals are consistently met and provide regular status.
Must be able to perform budget versus actuals cost analysis
Must be able to create ETCs for ongoing work as needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Must be knowledgeable of common, uncommon and new development mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes
Familiar with common, uncommon and new development machine shop programing and tooling
Intermediate to advanced computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
Ability to read and interpret unusual/complex documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write/develop and implement reports and perform routine correspondence
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc.
Must be trustworthy - will handle confidential information routinely
Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc.
Ability to follow a process.
Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management and regulatory agencies
Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista Aviation, Inc.s goals.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations, detect unobvious facts and issues, and exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems.
Must be able to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Estimator III High School Diploma or Equivalent with 15 years task related experience
Must have a background in manufacturing
Ability to pass a drug and background screening
Must be able to obtain a government security clearance
