Position Description:
Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing, employee-owned company supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MSandA) of defensive systems, is searching for a talented MSandA engineer to join our development team. We are looking for an engineer or scientist with expertise in simulation and/or emulation of DoD systems. The candidate will direct a team of scientists and engineers to support Verification and Validation (VandV) of high-fidelity High Energy Laser (HEL) simulations. The candidate will develop test plans to support HEL weapon system simulation VandV and will oversee the implementation and execution of VandV testing. In addition, the candidate will perform software development tasks in support of Directed Energy (DE) weapon system modeling and simulation for customers across the tri-services. Activities will include analysis and interpretation of technical documentation, interface documentation, and hardware to facilitate HEL component and subsystem modeling. Duties will include coordination across multiple teams for planning, execution, and regular reporting of emerging and final MSandA results that will be delivered to senior management and DoD customers.
Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or another relevant technical field
3+ years of experience in development of simulation models, infrastructure, or related technical work
3+ years of experience with software and simulation verification testing and validation testing
Experience programming in C++
Experience programming in Python
Experience with at least one computer-in-the-loop (CIL), software-in-the-loop (SWIL) and/or hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) system.
Experience in the development and programming of mathematical models to represent actual system or subsystem hardware and/or environment
Familiarity with the physics of passive electro-optic or active laser systems
Active Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or another relevant technical field
Familiarity with objected oriented design and development
Familiarity with infrared imaging and tracking systems
Experience with Linux operating systems, such as Red Hat, CentOS or Ubuntu
Proficient in Python and C++
