Responsibilities
Support Missile 6 Degrees of Freedom (6-DOF) simulation through software models to produce missile flight test assessments.
Develop motion models for missiles on various launch platforms or targets moving in air/land/sea environments.
Ability to develop radar scene models, software tools and guidance and control algorithms.
Work with a team to develop pre-flight predictions and post-flight analysis of missile flight tests and generate safety studies to prove missile software meets safety standards for release of tactical software.
Test missile software and simulation software changes to provide for on-going maintenance and improvement of the simulation system and missile software.
Participate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings and attend contractor programmatic and technical reviews (e.g., PMR, PDR, CDR, and other meetings) to provide technical and programmatic-based system recommendations and risk assessments.
Provide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks.
Develop productive relationships with Prime/Subcontractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts.
Author, review, and coordinate documents and data to aid the Government in decision-making.
Frequent interaction with government, SETA, and external stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements and Desired Skillsets
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent from an accredited institution
required.
2-5 years of demonstrated relevant experience for Mid-Level.
Or
5-8+ years of demonstrated relevant experience for Senior Level.
Proficient in and working knowledge of Linux along with C++, MATLAB, Python, and/or Fortran.
Preference is for candidates with functional knowledge of weapon, radar, and network systems and subsystems.
Must be a self-starter, team player with a desire to work with a team of engineers, integrators, analysts and others in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Must be detail-oriented, goal-oriented and mission-focused.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Security clearance and ability to maintain the designated security clearance level is required.
