General Summary
COLSA is seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator to serve as a member of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC) Windows Remediation Team. The team is a dedicated organization whose primary responsibilities will involve the continuous improvement of the cybersecurity compliance through the use of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), formerly System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) on Windows computing systems. Duties will include developing and testing Windows operating system and Windows software deployment packages and investigate root cause of failed deployments followed by developing corrective solutions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
Develop and test MCEM/SCCM deployments within the enterprise. Troubleshoot failed deployments, find root cause of failures, and develop improved deployment packages and scripts.
Develop Windows PowerShell scripts to aid with the deployment of software and used as administrative utilities to aid with Enterprise management of Windows end systems such as workstations and laptops.
Review and analyze MCEM/SCCM logs, Windows EventLogs, and Windows Registry settings as part of troubleshooting failed installations.
Review ACAS vulnerability findings and strategically deploy operating system and software patches that previously failed as part of the overall AvMC vulnerability remediation efforts.
Work as part of a team and interact well with others.
Develop technical documentation describing troubleshoot procedures, solutions, and guidance to other G6 staff or general users. Document assigned tasks, work in progress, and accomplishments.
Support daily technical operations of the AvMC CIO/G6. Non-routine after-hours support may be required (24x7) to support network maintenance, emergency operations, or unique mission requirements.
The candidate should have experience with automated operating system and software deployment products or technologies like MCEM/SCCM or Tychon, software distribution, OS deployments and the experience to troubleshoot failed tasks.

Required SkillsRequired Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in related field.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Active Security+CE certification.
Active DoD Secret clearance.
Windows MCEM/SCCM experience.
Knowledge and experience with Windows PowerShell scripting language for automation.
Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019 or newer system administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Tychon Endpoint Management System experience.
Experience using advanced Windows troubleshooting skills within an enterprise network.
Experience with Windows PowerShell scripting and usage to administer Windows systems within an enterprise network.
Understanding of application performance concepts, Windows operating systems, and network infrastructure concepts.
