Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer with 12+ years of professional experience, including significant expertise in projects related to Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 139. The ideal candidate will lead the design, construction, and management of infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards, project timelines, and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Oversee the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, particularly those involving airport facilities and infrastructure under FAR Part 139 requirements.
Serve as a technical expert, ensuring that all projects align with FAA regulations and industry standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, planners, and environmental consultants.
Regulatory Compliance:
Interpret and apply FAR Part 139 requirements to ensure all infrastructure projects comply with federal aviation standards.
Conduct inspections and audits of airport facilities for compliance and safety.
Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory submissions and approvals.
Design and Analysis:
Lead the preparation of civil engineering designs, calculations, and drawings for airport-related projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, drainage systems, and pavement markings.
Utilize advanced engineering software and tools for analysis and modeling.
Construction Management:
Manage contractors and construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
Address and resolve technical challenges during construction.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate effectively with airport authorities, FAA representatives, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 12 years of civil engineering experience, with at least 5 years in aviation-related projects involving FAR Part 139.
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other design software.
Strong understanding of FAA regulations, airport planning, and safety standards.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with airport pavement management systems and airfield lighting systems.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and their application to airport projects.
Familiarity with grant funding processes for airport projects.
Work Environment:
This position may require occasional travel to project sites, including active airfields. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Salary Range:
$83,300.00 - $168,700.00
