Responsibilities The Post Holdings Cybersecurity team is seeking an enthusiastic undergraduate student to join us in a unique, year-round Privacy and Compliance Student Apprenticeship. This position offers year-round part-time work and can offer internship credit during the summer for those students seeking an internship opportunity. Our apprenticeship program is designed to offer students meaningful, hands-on experience in the dynamic field of Privacy and Compliance. We are looking for an avid learner eager to participate in various initiatives and projects across the enterprise. The apprentice will regularly meet with mentors and leadership to discuss accomplishments and key takeaways, ensuring a rich learning experience. This entry-level position aims to build a solid foundation for students seeking post-graduation opportunities. The role is highly flexible, allowing students to balance their academic and professional development effectively. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES The Privacy and Compliance apprentice may assist in several projects and/or operations support roles in the IT security department.? Assignments may include work such as:? Data Inventory: Support the team in maintaining an inventory of personal data processed by the organization. Data Subject Requests: Assist in managing data subject requests and other privacy-related inquiries. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and track compliance with privacy and data protection regulations and report findings to the Privacy and Compliance team. Policy Review / Development: Support in the creation, review, and maintenance of privacy and compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines. Training and Awareness: Help develop and deliver privacy and compliance training materials for employees to ensure organizational awareness. Reporting: Prepare reports on privacy metrics and compliance status for management review. Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and coordinating responses to audit findings. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited university Prefer pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Privacy, Computer Science, or related field? The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative to identify areas of opportunity and take action. Comfortable using technology and software tools for data analysis, documentation, and reporting. Ability to identify and evaluate tactical methods to achieve objectives, identify deviations from the plan, and facilitate resolution Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion within and outside of the organization. Excellent research and analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong interest in data privacy, compliance, and risk management.
