Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Multi-Source Data Analyst to join our Maritime Targeting Cell deployable team at our Aurora, CO campus to fill a role on the MTC analytical and mission support program. This role requires proficient expertise in Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) analytics, Communications Intelligence Externals (COMEXT) analytics along with the ability to understand and fuse multiple data sources into a cohesive product. A thorough understanding of National, Tactical and Commercial Radio Frequency data processing and analysis is required. Prospects must be able to work within the constraints of restricted access programs and missions. Qualified candidates will apply strong analytical skills and understanding in the areas of signal processing, RADAR performance characteristics, and RF capabilities working with various systems, hardware, and software teams. *This position requires up to 100% on-site work due security constraints and an ability to pass an enhanced security review. In addition, multiple days of work related travel are required to support USN/USMC exercises in worldwide locations.
Roles & Responsibilities: This position is primarily engaged in the analyzing multi-Int data sources to facilitate the development and fielding of advanced signal processing algorithms and system performance models within the RF space. Key features of operation include analyzing signal processing algorithms that support a wide variety of RADAR and Communication modes, such as long-range search and track Radar waveforms and electronic surveillance measure returns. A strong technical understanding of ELINT and COMEXT data is required
Northrop Grumman analysts also support the assessment and integration of multiple disparate data sources (Imagery, PROFORMA, MASINT) required to support United States Naval activities required for military operations. Throughout this process, our analyst will engage with our customers to balance their functional and performance requirements to enable true multi-source and multi-function operations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience; 8 years with a Master's; 6 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of application
Technical experience with analyzing and modifying Radar/RF signal processing algorithms
Proficient with analyzing RF activity in M2Extra, MATLAB, CBET, STE, IANA, GALE or equivalent signals analysis and processing systems
Working knowledge of RF processing principles and processes; and effective communication skills
Ability to obtain approval for Special Access Programs prior to starting
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree or PhD in a STEM discipline including electives in radar techniques and signal processing
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, senior leadership, and other engineering disciplines
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
Team leadership experience with development and/or production program execution
High level experience and proficiency in data analysis, signal processing and understanding of RF applications
Proficiency with optimal estimation algorithms TDOA/FDOA digital signal formation, or adaptive processing
Experience analyzing, integrating and testing of modes/algorithms on RADAR, SIGINT, or EW systems
Prior approval for special access programs
Salary Range: $124,900 - $187,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
