Job Title: Intern Location: Pascagoula, MS Requisition ID: 2258 Overall Function: We are seeking a highly motivated C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) Intern to join our team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for hands-on experience in supporting the development, integration, and advancement of C5ISR systems for defense applications. The intern will collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, program managers, and directors to gain practical insight into the maritime C5ISR environment. Key Responsibilities: Research Assistance: Support the team with research on industry best practices and innovations in C5ISR systems and technologies. Security Strategy Development: Assist in developing, enforcing, and monitoring security policies and procedures aligned with government regulations and industry standards. Risk Assessment & Management: Contribute to identifying and managing cybersecurity, design, and integration risks in C5ISR systems and critical infrastructure. Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with internal departments, contractors, and military personnel to ensure smooth coordination and execution of engineering and programmatic efforts. Security Audits & Compliance: Participate in cybersecurity audits of deliverables to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear records of work activities and changes made to technical deliverables. Prepare and present detailed reports for senior leadership and stakeholders. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Foundational knowledge or coursework in C5ISR disciplines such as communications systems, data analysis, AI/ML, electronic warfare, or cybersecurity. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Programming experience (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB) is a plus. Familiarity with networking, RF technologies, or embedded systems is a bonus. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to work well in team settings. *Ability to lift up to 25 lbs using proper PPE or mechanical assistance when needed.
