Position: CAT I, CAT II, CAT III Linguist Possible Locations: Jordan, KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, Syria, UAE Job Description: Mission Essential is looking for skilled Linguists to provide interpretation, transcription, and translation services in support of ongoing and new U.S operations and mission requirements in multiple OCONUS locations. The linguist will provide any and all cultural and ethnic context of translations, interpretations, and transcriptions with an expert linguist's opinion given to the supported organization or agency as to the most likely meaning/intent of terms, phrases, or statements that may have multiple valid interpretations. Languages: Arabic MSA Arabic MSA/Farsi Baluchi/Urdu Hebrew Hindi Arabic Iraqi Arabi Iraqi/Kurdish Kurmanji Arabic Eastern Levantine Arabic Eastern Levantine/ Arabic Iraqi Bengali/Hindi Russian Tamil Punjabi Arabic Iraqi/Kurdish Arabic Eastern Levantine/ Kurdish Kurmanji Telugu Tagalog Farsi Hindi/Urdu Kurdish Kurmanji Kurdish **subject to change and add additional requirements Requirements: Must have a proficiency in target language and English speaking and writing Level 3/3 of Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR)-Native proficiency preferred Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in standard dialect and vocabulary rarely requiring the need for paraphrasing or explanation Familiarity with the local culture and customs with the ability to operate within the local populace Mission Essential considers all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
