Business Development Director, Water/Wastewater/ PFAS Sector
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BD Lead to join our team! We are looking for a recognized Leader to lead our growth strategy for our municipal Water/Wastewater and PFAS sector. This Market Line includes planning, design, program and construction management for Water/Wastewater and PFAS projects for municipal agencies. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing external customer-focused strategies to increase our business line market share and build our brand within our strategic markets (Key geographies include: CA, TX, FL, and NY). As a key member of the corporate business development management team, you will provide overall leadership to achieve sustainable and profitable growth within our North America water/wastewater/PFAS sector. Through leadership and collaboration with local market line managers and business development managers, this Director level position is responsible for maintaining and growing Parsons’ reputation as a leader in the infrastructure industry, including developing and growing the geographic market by effectively partnering with top customer/agency leaders and forming strategic industry alliances.
This position must be based in one of our California office locations, and is a combination of virtual and in-office; travel will be required. This position will directly lead BD efforts in California and serve as the Business Development Leader for the Sector, responsible for managing a team across our strategic geographies.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leverage your key contacts within government agencies and other engineering/construction companies to proactively develop project and program opportunities.
Build and implement effective sales/marketing initiatives to drive market growth.
Manage complex win strategies and proposal efforts that entail both conventional/traditional contract and procurement methods as well as collaborative/alternative project delivery methods.
Report and coordinate with the Critical Infrastructure Business Development Leader, Water Sector Leadership and other Business Development Managers to maximize the Critical Infrastructure Business Unit’s overall growth goals.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
4-year degree in related field and 15+ years of broad and diversified experience within the water/wastewater industry, with prior client relationship management experience in California.
Proven leader in client relationship management, strategic planning, strategic teaming and proposal strategy and negotiation.
Ability to leverage your key contacts with private organizations and state and municipal agencies within the region and build a robust sales pipeline for Parsons.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Requires a working knowledge of infrastructure industry business practices and the negotiation of contracts.
Incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with business development.

Salary Range:
